01Agreement to These Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of the Svasris website [www.svasris.ca] and to all purchases of products and services from Svasris, whether online, in person or through social media and messaging. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Return & Exchange Policy.

03Eligibility

You must be at least the age of majority in your province or territory of residence to place an order, or have the permission of a parent or guardian.

04Products & Descriptions

• We make every effort to display our products, colours and details as accurately as possible. However, colours may look slightly different depending on your screen, lighting and photography.
• Many of our sarees are handwoven or hand-finished. Small variations in weave, colour, zari and texture are natural features of handcrafted textiles and are not defects.
• Product measurements and fabric details are approximate.
• All products are subject to availability. Many pieces are limited or one-of-a-kind, and we may discontinue items at any time.

05Pricing & Payment

• All prices are shown in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless stated otherwise.
• Applicable taxes (such as HST/GST/PST) and shipping charges are added at checkout.
• We reserve the right to change prices at any time without notice. Price changes will not affect orders already confirmed.
• If a product is listed with an incorrect price due to an error, we may cancel the order and give you a full refund, or contact you with the correct price before proceeding.
• Payment must be received in full before an order is processed or shipped, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

06Orders & Acceptance

Your order is an offer to purchase. We may accept or decline any order at our discretion — for example, if an item is out of stock, there is a pricing error, or we suspect fraud. If we cancel your order after payment, you will receive a full refund.

07Stitching, Alterations & Custom Services

• Services such as blouse stitching, alterations, pico and fall, saree pleating, draping and custom tailoring are completed based on the measurements, designs and instructions you provide.
• Please check your measurements carefully. We are not responsible for fit issues resulting from incorrect measurements provided to us.
• Timelines given for custom services are estimates and may vary with season and workload.
• A deposit may be required before custom work begins. Custom orders cannot be cancelled once work has started.
• Items left for stitching or alterations should be collected within 60 days of completion. We are not responsible for items not collected after this period.

08Shipping, Returns & Exchanges

Shipping, returns, exchanges and refunds are governed by our Shipping Policy and Return & Exchange Policy, which form part of these Terms.

09Intellectual Property

All content on our website and social media — including the Svasris name and logo, photographs, text, graphics and designs — belongs to Svasris or is used with permission, and is protected by Canadian and international copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute or use our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

10Reviews & Content You Share

By submitting a review, testimonial, photo or comment, you confirm it is your own honest experience and give Svasris permission to display it on our website and social media. We may remove any content that is offensive, misleading or inappropriate.

11Acceptable Use of the Website

You agree not to misuse our website, including attempting to hack, disrupt or damage it, using it for fraudulent purposes, or copying its content using automated tools.

12Third-Party Links

Our website may include links to third-party websites or social media. We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of those websites.

13Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Svasris is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or products. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002 or other consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.

14Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of Ontario.
